At Boston Singing Telegram, our pricing starts at $200 and varies depending on the location, character choice, and timing. For example, if your event is in downtown Boston during rush hour, an additional $50 may be added to cover time and parking garage fees, where our performers change into their costumes. For events in Western Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island, we may charge an extra $75 to $150 for travel, depending on the distance. We also take rush hour and peak times into account when quoting prices, so events outside these times are often more affordable. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the only way to secure your spot is by paying with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card, which we securely process through the Square app. We will send a receipt and confirmation via text or email once your payment is processed. You are able to cancel a singing telegram with 24 hours notice for a full refund. Please note, all the pictures on our website represent the actual costumes you will receive—what you see is what you get!
We offer singing telegrams seven days a week, with performances starting as early as 7:00 AM and running as late as 10:00 PM. While booking in advance is always recommended, we can sometimes accommodate same-day requests depending on our schedule. Each Boston Singing Telegram includes a professional actor/performer, your choice of costume, a medley of songs, a comical dance routine, and a bouquet of Mylar balloons for the guest of honor. When sending a telegram, it’s always helpful to have an on-site contact who can receive a call or text 15 to 30 minutes before the scheduled time to guide us to the recipient. While not necessary, this is a great way to ensure everything goes smoothly. The performance typically lasts 5 to 10 minutes, but the entire process—including travel, costume preparation, and the performer returning the costume to our warehouse—usually takes about 4 to 6 hours. We consistently dry clean our costumes and meticulously maintain them to ensure the highest quality and presentation for each event.
